Open Teaching Positions

Full Time Floater--40 Hours per week

Job Description:

The Full Time Floater is responsible for providing direct support to the classroom Lead Teacher in the planning and implementing of our emergent curriculum and Reggio Emilia-Inspired instructional approach. They will report to the center administrative team, as well as, the Lead and Assistant Teacher for their daily classroom assignment. They will be expected to assist in providing and maintaining a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate program in accordance to our WCCC child care policies, procedures, and licensing regulations.

Job Duties:

  • Assist Lead Teacher in implementing our WCCC emergent curriculum and Reggio Emilia Inspired instructional approach for the children.

  • Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children.

  • Assist Lead Teacher in preparing weekly lesson plans of scheduled activities.

  • Develop and maintain accurate reports and documentation in accordance to program policies.

  • Establish positive relationships and communicate effectively to children, staff, administration, parents, and members of the community.

  • Provide appropriate safety, supervision, and support as applicable to program guidelines.

  • Ensure all applicable licensing and health regulations are met.

  • Conduct light cleaning duties such as gathering trash, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, sanitizing toys and table tops, and other general duties similar in nature.

  • Effectively conduct diapering and toileting procedures as it relates to job responsibility.

  • Adhere to all staff and program guidelines

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma OR CDA credentials

 

  • Experience working with children in a professional or volunteer setting is absolutely required, and continuing professional development is part of our work culture.

 

  • Candidates should be capable of being physically active for long periods of the day.

  • At least 3 years of early childhood program experience, preferred.

 

  • Familiarity with state child care regulations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Infant and Child CPR/First Aid certification, preferred.

  • MAT certification--a plus, but is not required.

  • Bilingual--a plus, but is not required.

  • Friendly and outgoing personality is a MUST!

Full Time Lead Teacher--40 Hours per week

Job Description:

 

The Full Time Lead Teacher will provide developmentally appropriate activities based on our Reggio-Emilia Inspired instructional approach and Emergent curriculum, student interests and needs, and will interact with their students in all facets of learning. They will establish and maintain supportive relationships with children, co-teachers, and parents. Additionally, they must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment.
 

Job Duties:
