Westminster Child Care Center successfully reopened our Center on June 15th, 2020 after a pandemic-related three month closure. It has been delightful having our classrooms and outdoor play spaces full of children's and teachers' laughter again!
Currently all our classrooms are operating at a reduced capacity, unable to accommodate all of our current families. We have isolated classrooms into "pods" with extra staff to assist with increased cleaning duties, as well as to reduce cross-exposure between classrooms. Classes do not mingle with other classrooms indoors or outdoors. Teachers work in 1 or 2 classrooms only.
We plan to add enrollment spaces through the summer in accordance with Phase III guidelines (group sizes limited to 12 including staff) to meet the needs of our current families. WCCC is closely following CDC guidelines to maintain the physical health of our community, without neglecting the important early brain development of young children socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
With the unpredictability of how long the restrictions will be in place, we are uncertain how this will affect our waiting list at this time.
Parents and visitors are not allowed in our building at this time. We are uncertain when we will resume tours.
We anticipate our school calendar changing for the months of August and September and hope to have more details in the next few weeks.
