Playground Renovation 2010

Thank you to everyone who helped at the finale of the playground on November 13th. Thank you to:

The playground is very close to being finished.  We had a great team here on Saturday helping install the bases for the play structure. The Building Goodness Foundation and AG Dillard volunteers as well as many of our staff and families came out to help. The designers meticulously put together the bases for the play structure.  They did a fantastic job.  We had Newsplex come out and do a piece on our playground story, and we are very thankful to Newsplex, and Stephanie Oliver for making that happen.

We have one last final push for this Saturday the 13th of November. I will still need volunteers to come out in the around lunch time to help mulch and some in the morning to help finish putting together the play structure. 

The BGF volunteers will start around 9am, anyone interested in helping put together the play structure, can come around then, otherwise mulchers, and lunch helpers can come around 11-12.  They will most likely work until 1pm with the installation of the play structure.

We are very grateful for all the effort, and help these amazing volunteers have provided.  This project would not be complete without their vast knowledge on construction and design. A huge thank you to BGF, and their board members, BGF family members and staff, AG Dillard, Scott Bradshaw, and his crew, volunteer community members (Amy Mclesky, Anne Causey, Kathy Garstang, Mary Alice Blackwell), and to all the staff and parents that have helped.  A big thank you to Donna Denton, Katie Moore, Leslie Kendrick, Micah Schwartzman, Mark and Kara Chandeysson, Jeremy Spitzer, Don Long, Mike Citro, Will Abrahamson, Lucy Burnette, Christine Knight, Sandy Wilcox, Michelle Amt and Amy Ogden, Rob and Mary Cook, Jen Igo, Biff Beers, Annie Eplee, Kelly Eplee, Erica from Monticello High School, and to Ronica Turner for having some of her students come out to help.
